Meet Melissa
Melissa Enos-Sims has proudly served on Goose Creek City Council since 2020, focusing on public safety, sustainable growth, and community partnerships. During her first term, she worked alongside police and fire leadership to modernize emergency services, expand community outreach programs, and ensure first responders have the staffing, training, and equipment they need to keep families safe. She also spearheaded the community-driven road hump program, which allows citizens to petition the city for speed humps and other measures to address speeding and improve public safety in residential areas.

In addition to her role on Council, Melissa serves as the Cop Stop Coordinator for the Goose Creek Police Department, where she helps strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they protect. She is also an at-large board member of the Visionary Women’s Exchange Club, a member of the American Legion Post 166, and the elected Precinct President of Westview 3 in the Berkeley County GOP—where she has been chosen by her neighbors three times to represent them.
Drawing on 25 years as a small business owner, Melissa champions fiscally responsible growth and infrastructure investment that supports local businesses, attracts new opportunity, and keeps taxes low. She envisions a vibrant, connected Goose Creek where families thrive, businesses succeed, and every resident feels safe and supported.

Melissa and her husband, Jeff, have built their family—Nat, Collin, and Weston—in the same community she has called home since 1981.

“I can think of no better service than to serve the city that helped build me,” Melissa says. “Together, we can keep Goose Creek growing, thriving, and rising.”
